Due to the unexpected air port closure in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the flight transportation for the first 10 water systems from Water Missions International has been delayed. Water Missions International staff and ministry partners are working tirelessly to coordinate immediate transportation of these water systems into Haiti.
Currently, the anticipated plan is for the water systems to be transported to Florida and then flown into the Dominican Republic with assistance from a close ministry partner. The systems will then be transported across the border into Haiti by truck.
More information about the situation in Haiti and Water Missions International’s relief efforts will be available soon. We will continue our work to build additional water systems and attempt to reach our staff in Haiti.
Ways You Can Help!
Pray -
Please pray for the quickest path into Haiti for our water treatment systems and for our U.S.-based staff. Currently, the most urgent need in Haiti is safe water and we must act quickly!
Please continue to pray for our staff and ministry partners on the ground. Water Missions International has confirmed that two staff members who were stationed in Haiti when the quake struck are safe and unharmed, and we have reason to believe the others are safe as well.
Give -
