What does Water Missions International do with the money raised from the Walk for Water?
Funds received through the Walk for Water will be used to provide sustainable, safe water and sanitation in communities around the world.  At this time, Water Missions is meeting the needs of over 1.2 million people in over 40 countries.

Is Water Missions a 501(c)(3) non-profit?
Yes. Water Missions International is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity by the IRS and qualifies for matching programs as a relief organization. WMI's Federal Identification Number is 57-1116978.

Will Walk donors be contacted by WMI or anyone else?
Donor names and contact information will never be sold or shared beyond WMI.  Donors will receive information from WMI about how their donations are being used to provide safe water.

Can I get a tax receipt of my donation?
Online donors will receive an email confirming their gifts that can be printed. Walk donors of $250 or more will receive a hard-copy receipt mailed directly from WMI. Cash donors will be entered as anonymous, unless it is submitted with a donor form and contact information is provided. Please change cash into a check before sending in the mail.

How do I see if my gift is eligible for a Match from my company?
Matching gifts are a great way to increase donations. Check to see if your company will match employee contributions. To take part in a matching gifts program, request an application from the benefits manager or human resources department. Then send the completed form to WMI.

Who do I make checks payable to?
