Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, Water Missions International (WMI) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization (EIN# 57-1116978) and all donations are fully tax-deductible.
Can I specify where I would like my donation to be applied?
WMI believes strongly in the need for sustainability with regard to their water projects. We will gladly apply your donation to any project to which we are committed in terms of our regional and local partners' ability to maintain the water supply and service. We will consider other communities and / or countries where individuals or groups have a special interest if sufficient funding is available, and if sustainability can be assured.
Can my church or Rotary group participate in a missions trip to help install a Living Water Treatment System?
Yes, we strongly encourage the involvement of donors and volunteers.
Do you only provide clean water to Christian groups and communities?
Water Missions International believes that everyone is created in God's image. No one would ever be denied clean water.
How long do these Systems last?
The estimated life expectancy of the Living Water Treatment System is a minimum of five years from the time of installation.
Does the LWTS desalinate water?
Technology exists to desalinate water cost effectively. The standard version of the LWTS does not.
Does the LWTS remove waterborne pathogens?
The LWTS is very efficient in removing most waterborne
pathogens. However, if the water source is highly contaminated,
there is a possibility some pathogens may pass through
the filters. Furthermore, most viruses, because they are
extremely small, will pass through the filters. Chlorine
is injected into the filtered water to kill bacteria and
viruses passing through the filters, as well as any bacteria
that might be introduced into the treated water.
