Haiti - The Latest Numbers

Thank you for your continuous support and prayers for Haiti as they recover from the devastating earthquake. Water Missions International has been hard at work bringing safe water to those in the midst of these dire circumstances. There have been challenges, but the Lord’s hand continues to guide our work, and there is much yet to be accomplished. Thousands continue to live in tightly packed camps with squalid conditions. Unhealthy living conditions and tensions associated with surviving in such desperate circumstances have made life dangerous, particularly for young, vulnerable, children. Bacteria-infested water abounds in many parts of the capital as well as the countryside, which contributes to the spread of disease.

In the midst of difficulty, many water systems have been installed and are providing life-giving water to thousands upon thousands of people. To date, 103 water systems have been installed in and around Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  Thanks to your generous support, such a response has been possible.

As we move forward, many systems will transition into long-term, sustainable, community development projects. Please pray that God would facilitate this transition and that they would be placed in communities where lives will truly be changed.

Please continue to pray that God would protect the people in Haiti and bring about a life-transforming restoration.
