WMI's sustainable safe-water programs are designed to provide clean water to people in desperate need around the world. These programs also facilitate the sharing of the Gospel. By giving the gift of clean water and the much greater gift of the "Living Water" message, WMI's programs help bring physical health and the opportunity for eternal joy.

The primary way WMI provides safe water is by installing Living WaterT Treatment Systems (LWTST) in communities, hospitals, orphanages, and schools. Each LWTST can purify enough water for the daily needs of 3,000 people.

To ensure that WMI's water projects continue to provide safe water year after year, WMI takes the following steps:
  • Carefully evaluates potential sites to determine the most appropriate safe-water solution. Click Here for our Water Project Request document.
  • Develops strong relationships with in-country partners to smoothly implement projects.
  • Forms community Safe Water Committees, which take responsibility for the operation and long-term maintenance of the system.
  • Educates communities on Health & Hygiene so that people understand the importance of safe drinking water and personal cleanliness in preventing disease.
