More Than Two Thousand People Enjoy Charleston's Walk For Water

The Charleston Walk for Water was a truly amazing event! Thank you to everyone who came out this past Saturday, March 20th and walked with us. Over 2,100* attendees and an additional 200* volunteers flooded Cannon Park for the 4th Annual event to spread awareness about the global water crisis and raise much needed funds to support community development projects in more than 40 countries around the world. At this time, we are confident that we will reach our net goal of $150,000 through the generosity of our friends and partners.

Personal Fundraising Pages can still be accessed by clicking the link to the left. Donations will be accepted for the Charleston Walk for Water through September 30th, 2010. You can submit matching gift forms with your donations, should your company have a program in place.

Check back soon for pictures of this wonderful day. If you have pictures you would like to share with Water Missions, please contact walk@watermissions.org.

Over 40 of us from Christ Episcopal Church in Mt Pleasant had an amazing time Walking for Water and we were privileged to have raised over $3,500 to help provide a water filtration unit. We hope to have an even bigger group next year. What an awesome event!
