Safe Water for Hurricane Alex Victims

At approximately 10:30 PM on July 10th the people of Santa Katarina, considered one of the hardest hit by Hurricane Alex in Nuevo Leon, Mexico began receiving safe drinking. Two Living Water (TM) Treatment Systems were sent from Operation Blessings, Mexico City operations, and a Water Missions technician currently working in Chiapas, Mexico traveled to to install the systems and train local system operators. A second water system was expected to be installed on July 11th.

One mother of three, Maria Guadalupe, stated that they had been without water for over a week. They had just recieved water from a truck on Saturday, but the water was dirty. Now she and her children are drinking safe water. Water as safe as you and I drink everyday.  Please pray for Maria and her children and the others in this region. Also, please pray for safety of those working to bring relief to this area.

This year has already been a difficult year as we have responded to the Haiti earthquake with massive amounts of resources and continued to work around the world bringing safe water to people in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Nigeria, Honduras, Kenya, Malawi, and Uganda. With hurricane and typhoon season upon us we are preparing to meet the needs of those who may need us. Please pray for Water Missions International and if possible, please consider supporting the work financially. The need is great!
