Thoughts From Water Missions Sri Lanka Country Director, Josue Mpayamaguru.
Greatest accomplishment in 2009: The greatest accomplishment in the year 2009 has been WMI ’s intervention in Manic Farm among the Internal Displaced People of the North. The monthly average production of water there has been 1,400,000 gallons.
|
Information about the Future: Although the Sri Lanka Government has taken very important step of clearing the Camps, more work remains to be done withing the resettlement villages. Therefore, now that WMI’s humanitarian operation in Manic Farm has stopped the aspect of community development continues. WMI Sri Lanka has obtained appropriate authorization from authorities to officially intervene all over the North within resettlement communities.
