Come on out Saturday, March 20th for our fourth annual Walk for Water event. The walk will begin at Cannon Park in downtown Charleston, and will be an inspirational 3.5-mile trek through historic Charleston. The walk coincides with the International World Water Day, in hopes of raising awareness about the worldwide struggle for access to clean, safe water. While we will be set up around 9 am, the walk will begin at 10 and should last for less than one hour. We will be enjoying live music after the walk, as well as music, food and activities for children.
Participants in the walk must only pay a nominal fee of $10, although everyone is encouraged to raise money by spreading the word about the worldwide water crisis. All of the proceeds from the event will go directly toward WMI’s continuing efforts to provide access to sustainable, safe water worldwide. For more information about participating in the Walk for Water, please visit the Walk for Water link on our homepage.
